We are working with a children’s centre in North West London who are looking for workers that have previous experience as a Family Support Worker, SEN Workers, Contact Worker, Social Work Assistant, Early Year Practitioner or Nursery workers
RATE: up to £14.00 ph (umbrella)
TYPE: LOCUM
HOURS: 093.00-16.30, Weekends and School holidays only
Previous work with Children with disabilities would be advantageous, although not essential.
The services available for families with children aged 5 to 18 years old. A child with a disability under the age of 18 who is substantially affected in their everyday living by one or more of the following:
global developmental delay
- a learning disability a sensory impairment
- a physical impairment
- chronic ill health or medical problems
- a serious life limiting or terminal illness
- a severe communication or language disorder
- an autistic spectrum disorder and who is not able to access other services
The Centre has a sensory room and soft play area, brand new furnishings and toys. This is part of its development into the new flagship service run by the local Council for disabled children and young people (aged 5-18). Local parents asked the council for a space they can call their own and they have worked very hard to provide them with a unique, fun and safe centre that the whole family can enjoy.

Requirements
– Proven experience
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable children
