π‘ Working Pattern: Hybrid working available. The majority of the role will involve visiting tenants in their homes and carrying out site-based property visits.
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of Broxtowe Borough Council for an experienced Tenant Data Collection Officer to join their Housing Service on a full-time locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the Council in maintaining accurate, complete, and compliant tenant information across housing systems. The successful candidate will identify gaps in existing housing data, collect and record tenant information through a variety of methods, and ensure all records are maintained in line with GDPR and Council policies.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant records across housing systems, including personal information and tenancy details.
β’ Produce reports on tenant data and identify missing or incomplete information.
β’ Gather tenant information through surveys, interviews, and document reviews.
β’ Carry out home visits to collect required information while adhering to risk assessments and lone working procedures.
β’ Create and manage surveys using Microsoft Office and web-based platforms, encouraging tenant participation.
β’ Deliver excellent customer service and signpost tenants to relevant services where appropriate.
β’ Communicate clearly with tenants regarding data collection processes, ensuring transparency throughout.
β’ Work collaboratively with tenants, stakeholders, and colleagues to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
β’ Ensure appropriate consent is obtained for all data processing activities and manage consent preferences in accordance with policy.
β’ Apply GDPR and data minimisation principles, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection legislation.
β’ Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post as requested by the Line Manager or Head of Service.
Requirements:
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
β’ Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
β’ Experience in data collection, administration, or housing-related services.
β’ Confidence working independently and carrying out home visits.
β’ Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation.
β’ Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
