About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected and purpose-driven charity for an experienced Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join their Housing and Property Services team on a temporary basis in County Durham.

As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will provide comprehensive housing-related support to individuals with a range of vulnerabilities and complex needs. Working collaboratively with Housing Management, Property Services, and specialist support services, you will play a key role in helping tenants sustain their tenancies and progress toward independent living.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct keywork sessions and develop tailored Tenancy Sustainment Plans (TSPs)
• Support tenants with independent living skills and tenancy management
• Liaise with internal teams, local authorities, and external support agencies
• Assist with Housing Benefit and welfare claims
• Support tenants with rent arrears and debt management
• Manage and record anti-social behaviour cases
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate repairs, safety checks, and essential household provisions
• Support move-on and resettlement planning

Requirements:
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals within housing, tenancy sustainment, homelessness, or supported living services
• Strong knowledge of housing management and welfare support
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
• Experience managing complex cases and maintaining accurate records
• A compassionate and proactive approach to support delivery
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends where required
