About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Team Manager to join the Direct Services team, leading and developing high-quality day services for adults with learning disabilities.
As Team Manager, you will play a key role in driving forward innovative and person-centred care across two day centres. You will work collaboratively with the wider management team to enhance service delivery, promote customer rights, and ensure individuals are supported to achieve their aspirations.
This role places a strong emphasis on the autistic agenda within Brent, including developing funding opportunities and expanding social enterprise initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, manage, and inspire staff to deliver high-performing, outcome-focused services
• Develop staff capability through training, mentoring, and continuous professional development
• Ensure services are customer-focused, efficient, and aligned with organisational values
• Promote rights, independence, and positive outcomes for all service users
• Build strong partnerships and act as an ambassador with external organisations
• Drive service improvement by keeping up to date with best practice and sector developments
• Contribute flexibly and proactively to achieving wider service and council objectives
Requirements:
• Level 5 Qualification (NVQ or equivalent)
• Extensive experience working with adults with learning disabilities
• Proven experience managing a day service
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Commitment to person-centred, outcome-based care
