Supply Care Solutions are looking for a SOCIAL WORKER in Leicestershire, Family Help team.
RATE: up to £38.00ph (umbrella)
TYPE: LOCUM
TEAM: Family Help team
HOURS: This is a Full time role (37 hours per week)
The team structure is made up of a Service Manager, Team Manager, 1 Senior Practitioner, 1 Family Help Social Work Lead and 4 Social Workers.
Alongside this team is a team of alternatively qualified Key workers in the Early Help service, who are also supporting Children in Need and Early Help plans. The whole team will be based in the same office with shared team and Pod meetings to promote integrated working.
The team vision is to provide the right support at the right time. The team will be working with the whole family to offer practical help, building on strengths and community support to improve daily life. This is an opportunity to work more intensively with a lower caseload, to make a real difference for children and families using your well-developed relationship-based Signs of Safety approach, with high levels of support and supervision.
Supporting up to 20 children in need for approximately 12 – 16 weeks
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pilot within the authority working with families to support and drive progression of child in need plans
Hybrid working
Co-located with Child and Family Wellbeing service
Completing Child and Family Assessments with family’s where ‘step up’ to social care is being considered
Stepping in to support alternatively qualified staff on Section 47 enquiries
We are seeking workers who are creative in their thinking and have proven skills in providing timely, responsive, and practical support to families
This role will give workers an opportunity to be part of an exciting movement within the Local Authority, with feedback and learning helping to shape the Family Help service in the future
Leicestershire has a relationship-based Signs of Safety practice approach
Workers will be supported by an experienced social work manager and senior practitioner
If families were to require support of pre proceedings / care proceedings / child protection / child in care, then these families would be supported by another team at an agreed point, i.e., ICPC, first hearing.
Qualified Social Worker Requirements
– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work
– Proven post qualifying experience in working with childrens services
– Current Social Worker England registration and enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
