About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Care Manager to join a well-established residential care home supporting people aged 65 and over who are living with dementia.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager looking for their next interim assignment. The initial contract is for 6 months, with the potential for rolling extensions thereafter.
As the Registered Care Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the care home, ensuring full compliance with CQC standards while delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, lead and develop the staff team, manage budgets and occupancy, and ensure the home continues to provide a safe, compassionate, and welcoming environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead the day-to-day operations of the care home in line with CQC standards and best practice
β’ Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing care team
β’ Ensure residents receive compassionate, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs
β’ Take responsibility for occupancy, financial performance, recruitment, and staff management
β’ Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safeguarding, and health & safety compliance
β’ Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders
β’ Participate in the manager’s out-of-hours on-call rota
β’ Promote continuous service improvement and ensure regulatory compliance at all times
Requirements:
β’ Previous experience as a Registered Manager within an older people’s residential care home
β’ Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and residential care legislation
β’ Experience managing budgets, staffing, and operational performance
β’ Proven track record in safeguarding, quality assurance, and health & safety compliance
β’ Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
β’ Experience supporting older people living with dementia
β’ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or equivalent)
β’ Enhanced DBS certificate, including the Adults’ Barred List
