PERMANENT role for a Social Worker- LAC, in East London.

SALARY: £36,567 – £46,041 per annum Up to £3,000 Recruitment & Retention Bonus.

TEAM: LAC & ASSESSMENT TEAMS
HOURS: Full time (Monday to Friday)
- To support children and young people who are looked after.
- To formulate, prepare and implement Care Plans and Pathway Plans
- To manage a caseload including those in care proceedings, attend Court, prepare court statements and care plans and represent the Local Authority
- To prepare and present a range of reports, including reports for Court, Child Care
- Reviews, Professional and Planning meetings
- Complete assessments for children, young people and their families
- Involve children, young people, their families and other professionals in meetings and support them with decision making
- To have knowledge of services relevant to individuals, families, carers, groups and communities
- To work with children, young people and their families where reunification is the plan
- Conduct assessments of Children and young people’s circumstances and issues to determine intervention / referral to the appropriate service.
- Plan and implement interventions and actions for allocated cases. Monitor and review cases. Assess in more complex cases, with guidance.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies supporting children and young people.
- Liaise internally and externally and work with colleagues from other agencies to ensure Children, young people and carers are supported
- Proactively develop professional knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- Supports colleagues in the team.
- Act in accordance with all policies and procedures which apply to the job and understand the reasons for this.
Qualified Social Worker Requirements
– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work and/or completion of ASYE or 2 years experience
– Current Social Worker England registration
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
