LOCATION: North Yorkshire.

Rate: £985.00 per assessment (umbrella)
TYPE: Full time (LOCUM)
DURATION: 12 weeks (possibly extended)

Remote Working possible.

Candidates must be/have statutory safeguarding checks to include:

– Appropriately qualified and HCPC registered Educational Psychologists to complete the report, although a skill mix of assistants/trainees gathering the information is acceptable, provided the report is signed off against requirements of the SEND Code of Practice and agreed quality assurance framework
– Working knowledge of the legislation relating to SEND, health and social care. Ie Children and Families Act (2014), Care Act (2014)
– The ability to work in a confidential and empathetic manner, communicating effectively with children, young people and adults who may have varying levels of understanding and needs.
– The ability to provide a high quality educational psychology report meeting the needs of the legislation, and which reflects the strengths, areas of need, and concerns and aspirations of the child or young person and their family/carers, within the given NYCC report template.
– Able to act in accordance with the guidance contained in ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and adhere to the policies of North Yorkshire Safeguarding Partnership Board
– Able to rework any reports which don’t meet quality standards at no extra cost to the Authority and so that they are submitted by the 6 week deadline.
– Signed an individual declaration re confidentiality.
– Access to IT hardware. The Authority will provide secure email for data sharing via Egress.

Educational Psychologist Requirements

– Degree/Diploma with proven post qualifying experience
– Current HCPC registration
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
