About the Role:
We are currently working on behalf of a local authority client in Wirral to recruit a Key Stage 2 Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a rewarding and flexible temporary opportunity.

This role is based at the Joseph Paxton Campus, part of Home and Continuing Education, an Alternative Provision supporting children with medical needs that prevent them from attending mainstream school. The provision operates both on-site in Claughton Village and within pupils’ homes, delivering tailored education in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.

You will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, working closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning and encourage engagement and progress.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide classroom-based learning support
• Deliver 1:1 support for an identified pupil
• Support engagement and participation in learning activities
• Assist in delivering tailored educational plans
• Work across both on-site and home learning environments
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and support pupil progress

Requirements:
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils
• Enhanced DBS (essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly in different learning environments
• A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable
