About the Role:
An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a Community Nurse to join the 0–19 Public Health Nursing Service in Swindon. This role is ideal for Registered Nurses or Midwives passionate about public health, safeguarding, and improving outcomes for children, young people, and families. The successful candidate will support delivery of The Healthy Child Programme through comprehensive and needs-led community services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering public health nursing support within community settings
• Working collaboratively with children, families, schools, and partner agencies
• Supporting safeguarding and wellbeing outcomes
• Managing a delegated caseload independently where appropriate
• Participating in multi-agency meetings and case reviews
• Supporting and supervising non-registered staff and students
• Promoting best practice and contributing to service improvement initiatives

Requirements:
• Registered Nurse or Midwife with active NMC registration
• Experience within community nursing, public health, school nursing, health visiting, or children’s services desirable
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of safeguarding and the Healthy Child Programme 0–19
• Ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously
