About the Role:
Torbay Council is currently recruiting 6 experienced Children’s Social Workers to join their high-performing teams. Opportunities are available across the Court Team (3 roles) and Assessment & Intervention (3 roles).

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of approximately 20–24 children
• Undertake work across CIN, CP, and assessment cases, including complex matters
• Prepare and present reports for court proceedings (Court Team roles)
• Complete timely and robust assessments within statutory frameworks
• Work collaboratively within a structured team environment including Team Managers and Advanced Practitioners
• Maintain accurate case recordings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with relevant Social Work England registration
• Proven experience within Court or Assessment & Intervention teams
• Minimum of 3 years’ references (DfE requirement – essential)
• CREFF required to cover any employment gaps
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Torbay area
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
