About the Role:
I am currently recruiting for a Turnaround Practitioner to join Suffolk County Council within the Children and Young People’s Directorate. This is a full-time position based in Ipswich, primarily office-based with occasional opportunities to work from home.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work within the Suffolk Youth Justice Service (SYJS), supporting children and young people who are in, or on the edge of, the Youth Justice System. You will play a key role in reducing offending, improving outcomes, and promoting the safety and wellbeing of young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess children and young people referred to the Youth Justice Service
• Develop, implement, and oversee intervention plans to promote positive change and improve safety
• Deliver targeted interventions to children and young people
• Work collaboratively within a multi-agency network to provide a coordinated approach
• Engage effectively with children, families, and partner agencies

Requirements:
• Experience working with children, young people, and families, ideally within Youth Justice or a related setting
• Strong assessment and intervention planning skills
• Ability to work within a multi-agency framework
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
