💰 Rate/Salary: £42–£45 per hour (Umbrella), depending on experience

About the Role:

Milton Keynes Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Care Team Manager to join their Access (Front Door) Service and Older People Review Team. This position requires a strong, confident manager who can provide effective leadership, maintain high service standards, and oversee daily operations within a fast-paced environment.
Please note: Candidates must work fully office-based for the first two weeks, after which up to 2 days per week from home may be approved depending on service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day operational management for the Older People Review Team and Access Team
• Offer visible leadership and direction to staff
• Deliver supervision and line management to the Deputy Team Manager and Access Team staff
• Monitor and oversee service budgets effectively
• Quality-check and approve assessments, care plans and contact forms, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
• Provide support, guidance and information to unqualified staff

Requirements:

• Strong experience managing Adults Social Care teams
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to work fully office-based for the first two weeks
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Social Work England registration (if applicable)
• Right to Work in the UK
• Completion of the Adult MOC Form (mandatory)
