SALARY: Between £28.00 and £30.00 dependent on experience
TYPE: LOCUM
TEAM: LD, MH, Hospital Discharge, & Safeguarding.
HOURS: Part time 3 days /2 days (1 Week would be 3 days the next would be 2 days working pattern)

Urgent Response service is currently offering one part time practitioner post 17.5hrs per week ranges at P04 (SCP 41 – 44) to work latter part of the week.
The Urgent Response service is a front line team which provides crisis intervention, screening & prioritise referrals, dealing with all safe guarding referrals that comes through the department via Access / Contact  from various external agencies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong social care background and is confident to use LAS systems efficiently in terms of processing referrals, assessments, safe guarding, update records and case notes as required.
In addition, the role requires experience and interest in front line customer support within an adult social care team.
This position involves analytical skills, good use of judgement enabling to make effective screening, assessment and decisions, sign post and refers to appropriate team or services, carrying urgent home visit, setting up urgent care support plans and variations etc. Successful candidate for social worker position will be expected to work within the care act, tasks in a busy and fast paced environment to ensure the smooth running of service on the front end.

Also for successful candidates it is essential that are able to prioritise work, to highlight risk factors with safeguarding referrals, urgent cases and response to challenging calls from the general public in a sensitive and professional manner and strengthen partnership work across sectors.

The Ideal candidate would have a background in social work with a minimum of 18 months post qualifying experience

Qualified Social Worker Requirements

– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work
– Proven post qualifying experience in working with Adult services
– Current Social Worker England registration
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
