About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team at Walsall Council’s Children’s Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and committed team focused on delivering high-quality care and protection to vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective assessments, planning, and interventions for children and families
• Conduct child protection investigations and participate in strategy meetings and reviews
• Act as lead professional in safeguarding cases and ensure coordinated, multi-agency support
• Prepare reports for court proceedings and statutory reviews
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with legislation
• Engage in regular supervision and contribute to service development
• Mentor students as required and uphold equal opportunities in all practice

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• UK Driving Licence and access to a car
• Strong experience in safeguarding and managing complex caseloads
• Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills
