Social Worker (MASH Team)

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days office-based per week)
Pay Rate: £35 per hour (umbrella)

 Key Responsibilities:

• Screening and Assessing Safeguarding Referrals: You will be responsible for screening safeguarding referrals, identifying risks, and ensuring the safety of children and families.
• Collaboration with Multi-Agency Professionals: Work closely with professionals from various agencies to gather relevant information and make informed decisions.
• Applying Safeguarding Thresholds: Ensure that intervention thresholds are applied in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Recommendations for Next Steps: Provide clear recommendations for referrals to appropriate services or teams.
• Case Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate case records and provide updates on decisions and actions taken.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment while upholding high professional standards.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker: Must have registration under Social Work England.
• Experience in Safeguarding/MASH: Previous experience in MASH or similar safeguarding roles is essential.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding Legislation and Risk Assessment: Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, risk assessment processes, and decision-making.
• Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a multi-agency environment.
• Ability to Work Under Pressure: Efficiently manage workload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
