SOCIAL WORKER job in Greater Manchester – locality teams

RATE: up to £30.00ph (umbrella)

HOURS: This is a Full time role (37 hours per week), 2 days a week in office, 3 days from home

Caseload – around 20 (18-22 generally )
Flexible working via office base/home working is available and variation of hours if appropriate.
The applicant will hold a protected caseload of Chid Protection and CiN. There may be opportunity also to work in the court arena and undertake proceedings.
The applicant will have the support of an experience manager and advanced practitioner and will be very much part of the Wigan Council family, able to undertake training and developmental opportunities.

Qualified Social Worker Requirements

– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work
– Proven post qualifying experience in working with childrens services
– Current Social Worker England registration and enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
