Job profile:

We are currently recruiting for dedicated Children  Social Workers to join the councils Family Help Teams in East London.

The role involves managing Single Assessments and working with Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases. You will be responsible for court work, including S7 and S37 reports, Initial SWET/final evidence, and care plans. Knowledge of the legal framework, including Public Law Outline (PLO) and Letters of Instruction (LOIs), is essential. This role does not involve fostering, leaving care, or Looked After Children (LAC) and Care Experienced cases.

Working from home conditions / Flexibility  – this is an office based role particularly on duty weeks. WFH can be negotiated when you are NOT on duty for 1 day in the week- at your TM’s discretion.

Average caseload in the Family Help Teams – at the moment average caseload is 20.

How often are supervisions undertaken – 1:1 once a month- separated into welfare and case supervision. Access to group supervision and clinical supervision through the Trauma Informed clinician.
