About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Children’s Social Care Family Support Team at Milton Keynes Council. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and progressive local authority that places children’s safety and wellbeing at the centre of practice.
Family Support focuses on working alongside families to gain a clear understanding of their circumstances from their perspective and to support them in identifying and addressing issues impacting their children’s needs. The role requires reflective practice, strong analysis, and a consistent focus on safeguarding and promoting welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with families to assess needs, risks, and strengths, maintaining a child-centred approach
• Undertake assessments and interventions to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
• Support children with disabilities and their families, including coordinating short breaks and providing practical in-home support
• Facilitate and contribute to family support meetings, reviewing progress and plans with families
• Escalate cases to child protection where risks remain or increase
• Work closely with specialist services through Family Support Hubs to coordinate assessments and targeted interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely recording and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local procedures

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
• Experience working within Children’s Social Care, ideally in Family Support or safeguarding teams
• Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy, and best practice
• Ability to work effectively with families and partner agencies
• Commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement
