💰 Rate/Salary: £36 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care (CIC) Team with Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. This role is part of a long-term assignment and offers hybrid working. You will be supporting and safeguarding children who are looked after, managing cases, planning care, and ensuring the best possible outcomes while working closely with other professionals and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of children in care in line with statutory requirements
• Undertake assessments, care planning, and case reviews
• Collaborate effectively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and promote their welfare
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and decision-making
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system
• Prepare reports for court and statutory reviews as required

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Previous experience within Children’s Services, ideally within CIC or Looked After Children (LAC) teams
• Strong assessment, report writing, and care planning skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
