About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Ipswich North East Social Care Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with supervisory experience to take on a senior role within a well-established local authority team. The post is based at Beacon House, Ipswich, and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week required in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake statutory assessments under Section 17 and Section 47
• Complete Children in Need plans and Child Protection planning
• Provide professional guidance and oversight to social work colleagues
• Support the Team Manager with staff supervision and mentoring
• Contribute to high-quality practice and service delivery within the team

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
• Proven experience in Children’s Services
• Previous experience supervising staff in a social work setting
• Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks and safeguarding procedures
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
