About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is currently working in partnership with Suffolk County Council to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Children’s Social Worker to join the Ipswich West Social Care Team.

This is a well-established and supportive team offering a hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days per week based in the office. The role is ideally suited to a confident senior practitioner with strong statutory experience across Assessment, Child in Need, and Child Protection work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Hold and manage a complex caseload in line with statutory requirements
• Undertake robust Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) assessments
• Lead, manage, and review Child in Need and Child Protection Plans
• Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings, core groups, and strategy discussions
• Provide professional guidance and informal support to less experienced social workers when required
• Maintain clear, analytical, and timely case recordings in accordance with legislation and local authority procedures
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work qualification
• Substantial post-qualifying experience within statutory children’s social care
• Proven experience managing Child Protection and Child in Need cases
• Strong knowledge of current legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced local authority environment
• Registered with Social Work England
