Senior practitioner within Children’s Social Care to cover a temporary assignment in Co. Durham.

Social Worker JOB DESCRIPTION

This role involves working a smaller caseload of 15-17 children, whilst also supporting our social worker’s doing their ASYE’s. Supporting our social workers completing their ASYE’s means meeting with the social workers 1-2 weekly to discuss their progress and review the capabilities to ensure the workers have the right opportunities to develop their skills and knowledges to pass their ASYE.

The roles entails the candidate to be a role model and support colleagues within the team. We are based in Pity Me, next to the Arnison Centre. We offer flexibility in terms of being office based at least 1-2 times per week and being able to work from home the other days. We have free car parking next to the office.

Social Worker Requirements

– Proven experience in working with childrens services
– Current enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
