About the Role:
We’re excited to be working with Cardiff Children’s Services to recruit a temporary Registered Manager for one of their established Children’s Homes. This is an incredible opportunity to support some of the most vulnerable children and young people, working alongside passionate multi-professional teams who take a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
This is your chance to contribute to a service that places the individual at the heart of its work—supporting children for up to 12 weeks while developing and identifying the most appropriate next step in their care journey.
As Registered Manager, you’ll take the lead in ensuring that the home meets all Regulated Services Regulations, while delivering the highest standard of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outstanding leadership and day-to-day operational management of the home
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements
• Promote a child-centred, trauma-informed care model
• Support effective multi-agency working and individualised care planning
• Lead on service development and continuous improvement
• Be part of the out-of-hours on-call rota
Requirements:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) – Wales & NI
• Registration with Social Care Wales
• Extensive experience in residential childcare at management level
• Strong leadership skills and a positive, “can-do” outlook
• Proven experience in implementing change and driving quality improvements
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Full valid driving licence and sole use of a vehicle
