About the Role:
We are currently recruiting Recovery Coordinators on behalf of our client for a busy Drug & Alcohol Service based in Wallsend, North Tyneside. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team supporting individuals at all stages of their recovery journey.
The role is primarily office-based, with some travel across the North Tyneside area to support service users who are unable to attend the office. A full driving licence is desirable but not essential, as the area is well served by public transport.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage a service user caseload, developing, implementing and reviewing recovery plans and treatment pathways
β’ Undertake triage, screening and comprehensive assessments
β’ Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support progression through engagement, structured treatment and sustained recovery
β’ Facilitate access to treatment services and community resources to enhance recovery and social capital
β’ Lead effective case management, including risk assessments, safeguarding assessments and care plans using an online case management system
β’ Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and external partners, contributing to meetings, reviews and reports
β’ Support improved outcomes for children, parents/carers and families by reducing drug and alcohol-related harm
β’ Deliver psychosocial interventions through one-to-one and group work
β’ Identify and prevent potential harm by following safeguarding procedures and working with relevant authorities
Requirements:
β’ Strong understanding of the complex needs of individuals with drug and/or alcohol misuse, including physical health, mental health, legal, parenting and family needs
β’ Ability to assess complex needs, identify risks, develop risk management plans and review recovery outcomes
β’ Experience delivering interventions such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychosocial Interventions (PSIs), CBT and ITEP
β’ Proven ability to manage a high caseload with accurate and timely case recording
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
β’ Commitment to equality, diversity and anti-discriminatory practice
β’ Knowledge of harm reduction approaches within substance misuse services (desirable)
