About the Role:
Weβre recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join their dedicated substance misuse team in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals throughout all stages of their recovery from drug and alcohol misuse.
Youβll work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide recovery-focused case management, assessments, and evidence-based interventions β empowering service users to achieve sustained recovery and improved wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage a caseload and create person-centred recovery and treatment plans
β’ Complete triage/screening and comprehensive assessments
β’ Work collaboratively with partner agencies for joined-up support
β’ Facilitate access to treatment pathways and community resources
β’ Lead on case management including risk assessments & safeguarding plans
β’ Support harm-reduction activities (BBV testing, needle exchange, structured interventions)
β’ Deliver group and 1:1 psychosocial interventions
β’ Promote family involvement and reduce the wider impact of substance misuse
β’ Contribute to a culture of visible recovery and peer support
β’ Participate in supervision, training, and continued professional development
Requirements:
β’ NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) β or willingness to work towards it
β’ Experience supporting individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries
β’ Understanding of the complex needs linked to substance misuse
β’ Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management
β’ Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions (MI, PSIs, CBT, ITEP)
β’ Confident managing a high caseload and using case management systems
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office
