About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Recovery Co-ordinator to join their Young Persons Services team in Leeds. This is a full-time, temporary role initially for approximately 3 months, with the potential for extension depending on service needs.
The postholder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver collaborative recovery planning and case management for young people misusing drugs and/or alcohol, supporting individuals from assessment and engagement through structured treatment to sustained recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage a caseload of service users, developing, implementing, and reviewing individual recovery and treatment plans
β’ Conduct triage, screening, and comprehensive assessments
β’ Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver shared assessments, key working, and interventions
β’ Support access to treatment pathways and community resources to build recovery and social capital
β’ Lead effective case management, including risk assessments, risk management plans, and safeguarding assessments, using an online case management system
β’ Contribute to reviews, meetings, supervision, and multi-disciplinary communications through accurate reporting
β’ Improve outcomes for children, parents/carers, and families by reducing the impact of substance misuse and promoting positive family involvement in recovery
β’ Design and deliver high-quality psychosocial interventions, both group-based and one-to-one
β’ Identify and prevent potential harm by following organisational and local safeguarding procedures and liaising with safeguarding authorities
Requirements:
β’ Strong understanding of the complex needs associated with problematic drug and alcohol misuse, including physical, psychological, mental health, legal, parenting, and family support needs
β’ Ability to assess complex needs, identify risks, develop and review robust risk management and recovery plans
β’ Knowledge and experience of interventions including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Brief Interventions, PSIs, CBT, and ITEP
β’ Ability to manage a high caseload with accurate and timely case recording
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures
β’ Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, with the ability to challenge discriminatory practice
β’ Knowledge of harm reduction approaches (desirable)
