We are looking to recruit Private Rented Sector Officers in a PRS Team within the Homelessness Directorate.
You will work in a busy team, managing a varied caseload. You will be required to work with a variety of service users, both face to face and over the telephone. The role will involve looking for accommodation for households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. You will be required to source accommodation to resolve clients homeless journey within the private rented sector. This role will involve meeting landlords / letting agents inside and outside of Manchester to secure accommodation. You will require excellent communication skills both verbally and written. The ability to negotiate effectively is an essential requirement of this role. You will be required to inspect properties to ensure they are health & safety compliant and are to a decent standard ahead of lets being arranged full training will be provided in line with Housing, Health & Safety System requirements (HHSRS).

Candidates must be robust and firm to re iterate council policies.
