💰 Rate/Salary: Up to £43.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We’re excited to partner with a Local Authority in the North London area, currently seeking a Principal Advisor for Early Years within their Children and Early Years Service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and improve nursery provision across several settings, ensuring high-quality, safe, and Ofsted-compliant early years education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and ensure consistent, high-quality provision across all nursery settings
• Lead on service improvements in line with EYFS and Ofsted standards
• Manage operational issues including staffing, safeguarding, and complaints
• Support Ofsted inspections and implement post-inspection action plans
• Act as lead for serious safeguarding concerns or escalations
• Offer support and leadership to nursery managers during periods of change or instability
• Oversee staff supervision, training, and performance management
• Manage budgets and funding to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and internal stakeholders
• Represent the nursery services at council and external partnership meetings

Requirements:
• Proven experience managing multiple nursery settings
• Strong leadership and safeguarding experience
• Up-to-date knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted standards, and childcare legislation
• Excellent communication, organisational, and strategic planning skills
