Senior Practitioner – Domestic Abuse Team job in East London

Supply Care Solutions are looking for a Senior Practitioner in East London to work in a busy Domestic Abuse Team.

SALARY: £43,815 – £49,890 dependent on experience & £3,000 R&R
TYPE: PERMANENT
TEAM: Domestic Abuse Team
HOURS: Full time (Monday to Friday) 36 hours

Reach Out is a support service for any adult or child in the Borough who is being abused or at fear of being abused.
The service is able to provide help and emotional support for a victim, counselling and practical advice on issues such as housing, finance and benefits.

The service will be staffed by senior family support workers undertaking domestic abuse screening and interventions with victims of domestic abuse and perpetrators. The role of the senior practitioner is therefore to support these staff so joint visits, supervising half the family support workers and undertaking case work. I am looking for someone who has a real passion and drive for working with domestic abuse.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking, dynamic service that is leading the way in terms of demonstrating good practice when screening domestic abuse. This is a new team that works across services to support victims and perpetrators in the immediate aftermath of an incident to make real changes to their lives and reduce the risks of ongoing domestic abuse. . Ideally candidates to have experience at a Senior level and extensive working with Domestic Abuse/Violence previously. This would be ideal and transferable skills would be taking into consideration. Potentially a candidate looking to gain their first Senior role maybe considered too.

Qualified Social Worker Requirements

– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work
– Proven post qualifying experience in working with Adult services
– Current Social Worker England registration
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
