About the Role
Are you looking for a rewarding and flexible role supporting children and young adults with additional needs? We are recruiting Passenger Assistants (PAs) to join our team, providing crucial transport support to students attending schools and colleges across Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall.
As a Passenger Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring students aged 4–25, often with medical or behavioural needs, travel safely and comfortably to and from their educational settings. You’ll accompany them on minibuses or taxis, providing the care and support they require.
This is a variable-hours role on a relief register to cover for PAs who are unavailable. You may be called for last-minute cover—ranging from half-days to longer periods. While hours aren’t guaranteed, they typically fall between 07:00–10:00 and 14:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. We may also contact you during the day to arrange future cover.

• Strong understanding of the importance of safeguarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and last-minute requests.
• Must reside within the Plymouth City Council Area.
