About the Role:

We’re currently seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join the MEAP service in Manchester. This is a hybrid role requiring a dedicated and empathetic professional to assess both children and adults city-wide with complex physical and hidden disabilities. You will be responsible for the provision of specialist equipment, major/minor adaptations, and safety assessments to support disabled children across the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out holistic assessments to identify bespoke equipment and adaptations
• Deliver safety and functional assessments for children with complex needs
• Manage a diverse caseload efficiently
• Liaise with children’s services, health professionals, and hospitals
• Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports
• Ensure excellent communication and organisational skills
• Travel across Manchester and accommodate flexible visit times, including before/after school

Requirements:

• HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
• Car driver – essential for city-wide visits
• Experience with specialist equipment and adaptations
• Strong knowledge of moving and handling equipment
• Confident with IT systems and documentation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work autonomously and manage allocated monthly caseloads
