About the Role:

We’re excited to offer a fantastic part-time opportunity for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer in Gateshead. This flexible 18.5-hour-per-week role is ideal for someone seeking a varied, dynamic position combining administrative work with community engagement. You’ll be supporting housing functions both remotely and in-person by carrying out home visits, inspections, and general neighbourhood tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake housing-related administrative duties
• Conduct home visits and property inspections
• Provide support and advice to tenants in the community
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
• Travel locally to complete neighbourhood tasks as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a housing role is desirable
• Access to a vehicle and willingness to carry out home visits
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible availability with fixed working pattern weekly
