💰 Rate/Salary: £40,755 – £45,510 per annum + £1,000 Welcome Bonus

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Social Worker to join the Mental Health Social Care Team (MHSCT) within a South West London Local Authority. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking team that is passionate about improving outcomes for adults with mental health needs, autism, or substance misuse issues.

The team operates from the Tolworth Hospital site with a hybrid working model, offering flexibility and work-life balance. You’ll be working alongside experienced managers, senior practitioners, and strong business support, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage complex cases and conduct assessments under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act
• Participate in safeguarding processes and Court of Protection work
• Work in partnership with NHS services, primary care, and community organisations
• Contribute to service development and best practice within the team
• Supervise junior staff and benefit from regular professional supervision
• Opportunity to progress towards AMHP training as part of your development

Requirements:
• Strong experience in statutory adult social care
• In-depth knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act
• Skilled in safeguarding and working within multi-agency frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• IT literate and able to manage caseloads effectively
• Experience supporting adults with mental health issues, autism, or substance misuse
