About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and confident Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join Haringey Council. This statutory role is pivotal in managing and coordinating responses to allegations against professionals working with children, particularly within education settings.

You will work closely with safeguarding teams, schools, and partner agencies to ensure robust procedures are followed, children remain protected, and statutory requirements are met. This is a challenging but highly rewarding position, ideal for an experienced Child Protection Manager or Practitioner with strong safeguarding expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate responses to allegations against professionals working with children
• Provide expert advice and guidance to schools, safeguarding teams, and partner agencies
• Ensure compliance with child protection legislation and statutory guidance
• Oversee and implement safeguarding frameworks within education settings
• Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports for multi-agency meetings

Requirements:
• Qualified and registered Social Worker
• Proven management experience in safeguarding and child protection
• In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory guidance
• Strong understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
• Familiarity with relevant policies and frameworks for schools and education providers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in multi-agency professional environments
