About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Lead for Practice Development and Assurance to support the Children with Disabilities Team (DCT) in North London. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled practitioner with strong DCT knowledge and experience to lead on practice review, quality assurance, and service improvement within a specialist children’s service.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in reviewing current practice, identifying risks, and driving sustainable improvements across the service, working closely with managers, practitioners, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review current allocated cases, including:
– Child Protection (CP)
– Children Looked After (CLA)
– Court cases
– Children in Need (CIN)
– Short Break CIN
• Assess the quality of practice across the Children with Disabilities Team
• Identify safeguarding risks and areas of concern
• Review the quality and effectiveness of supervision
• Develop strategies to improve practice and outcomes within the service
• Review the current service structure and make recommendations for improvement
• Produce a comprehensive written report outlining findings and recommendations

Requirements:
• Significant experience working within a Children with Disabilities Team
• Strong knowledge of statutory children’s social care frameworks
• Proven ability to review practice, supervision, and service structures
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Experience leading or contributing to service improvement and quality assurance activity
