About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is currently working in partnership with a local authority in Lambeth to recruit an experienced Insurance & Risk Officer.

This role is key to ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, professional risk and insurance service that integrates best practice, strong customer focus, and full compliance with statutory and policy requirements. The successful candidate will support the organisation in managing insurance claims effectively while contributing to a proactive, data-led, and value-adding service.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Provide a high-quality, professional risk and insurance service aligned with statutory and policy requirements
β€’ Proactively manage customer queries relating to insurance services and claims, taking ownership and delivering customer-focused outcomes
β€’ Ensure effective and controlled processing of insurance claims
β€’ Support the development of a proactive, data-led, and value-adding risk and insurance function
β€’ Maximise benefits from technological improvements while maintaining appropriate controls
β€’ Work collaboratively with internal services and professional functions to meet directorate and corporate objectives
β€’ Support the Insurance Manager and Assistant Director of Risk and Insurance in delivering a customer-focused service

Requirements:
β€’ Previous experience within insurance, risk management, or claims handling
β€’ Strong understanding of risk and insurance processes within a public sector or regulated environment
β€’ Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
β€’ Ability to take ownership of work and manage competing priorities
β€’ Strong organisational and analytical skills
β€’ Experience working in a fast-paced, professional environment
