About the Role:
North Yorkshire Council is seeking an experienced and highly organised Inspection Coordination Officer to join the Children & Young People’s Services (CYPS) team on a temporary basis. This is a pivotal role focused on supporting the preparation, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of external inspections, ensuring a structured and professional approach throughout all stages.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Lead and coordinate inspection preparation and delivery across CYPS
β€’ Maintain and manage a centralised evidence base, including self-evaluations, performance data, and audit materials
β€’ Work collaboratively with internal teams and multi-agency partners to ensure inspection readiness
β€’ Act as the primary point of contact for inspection teams
β€’ Organise inspection logistics including meeting rooms, schedules, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
β€’ Provide clear and timely updates to senior leadership
β€’ Support the development and monitoring of post-inspection action plans

Requirements:
β€’ Strong organisational and planning skills
β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β€’ Experience working across services or within multi-agency partnerships
β€’ Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
β€’ Confidence engaging with senior leaders and external stakeholders
β€’ Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
