About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Housing Repairs Operations Manager to lead and drive excellence across responsive repairs services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving service delivery following the Council’s C1 rating from the Regulator of Social Housing.

You will be responsible for managing high-value repairs and maintenance programmes, improving operational performance, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for residents. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to implement sustainable service improvements across technical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Lead and manage responsive repairs and maintenance services
β€’ Implement service improvement plans to enhance performance and delivery
β€’ Manage budgets, resources, and contract performance effectively
β€’ Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to technical teams
β€’ Work collaboratively with contractors, stakeholders, and internal departments
β€’ Ensure compliance with health and safety and regulatory requirements
β€’ Build strong relationships with residents, community groups, and partners

Requirements:
β€’ Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance service management
β€’ Proven experience managing high-value responsive repairs contracts
β€’ Experience leading and motivating technical or trade-based teams
β€’ Strong budget management and performance monitoring experience
β€’ Knowledge of relevant housing, landlord, and safety regulations
β€’ Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
β€’ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
