About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced Housing Options Advisors to join North Northamptonshire Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled housing professionals to support the Housing Options Service in reducing service backlogs and improving triage assessment times. You will work within the Triage Team, undertaking both initial assessments and full homelessness casework responsibilities, including statutory decision-making under homelessness legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work as a Triage Officer within the Housing Options Team
• Manage daily “on the day” homeless approaches
• Hold and manage a caseload of homeless applicants and customers threatened with homelessness
• Provide comprehensive housing advice and early intervention support
• Make statutory decisions including Not Homeless and Not Eligible decisions
• Produce clear, legally robust and concise statutory decision letters
• Conduct thorough investigations in accordance with Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996
• Negotiate with landlords and key stakeholders to prevent homelessness wherever possible

Requirements:
• In-depth working knowledge of Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996
• Proven experience in housing advice and homelessness casework
• Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management experience
• Ability to independently manage a varied and demanding caseload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using the Jigsaw housing system
• Must be local to Kettering/Wellingborough and able to attend the office 4 days per week
