Hours: 20 hours a week, hours negotiable between 9am-5pm Monday – Friday. Working from scheme office.

Hours: PAYE Rate: Up to £12.20 per hour

Housing Officer role to cover arrears management, repairs and maintenance and fire safety actions. Covering a supported housing scheme in Walsall.

Job Purpose

Provide an assistive housing management service to meet the needs of residents living in sheltered and supported housing by:

• Overseeing the maintenance, safety and security of the buildings
• Maintaining daily contact with residents, responding to changing housing need and informing best housing management practice.
• Enabling residents to fully understand and exercise their rights and responsibilities under the terms of their tenancy agreement.
• Enabling residents to make full use of communal facilities and the housing services provided including payment of rent, repairs and maintenance, and housing and estate management services.
• Facilitating residents to fully engage in participation and involvement activities
• Informing housing and external care and support services in their practice in respect of individual residents needs and changing circumstances in order to assist in the maintenance of each individual’s tenancy and independence.
