💼 Contract: Initially 3 months, rolling monthly extensions possible
💰 Rate/Salary: Up to £20.00 per hour

About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is seeking an experienced and dedicated Homeless Prevention Officer to join a local authority in the North East on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to make a real difference, working with vulnerable households to prevent and alleviate homelessness.

The successful candidate will provide timely housing advice, investigate homelessness applications in line with legislation, and work proactively with individuals and partners to secure sustainable housing solutions. Please note, some flexibility is required, as occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert housing advice and support to prevent homelessness
• Investigate homelessness applications in line with legal requirements
• Work with vulnerable individuals and families to find sustainable housing solutions
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective wraparound support
• Maintain accurate case records and manage a complex caseload effectively

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Homeless Prevention Officer
• In-depth knowledge of homelessness legislation and statutory guidance
• Proficiency with the Jigsaw system (essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and handle high caseloads under pressure
