💰 Rate/Salary:
Band 6 – Weekday £26.00 | Saturday £35.00 | Sunday £44.00
Band 7 – Weekday £31.00 | Saturday £41.00 | Sunday £50.00

About the Role:
We are currently working with an NHS client to appoint a Highly Specialist Children’s Speech & Language Therapist (Band 6) or Advanced Practitioner (Band 7) to join their well-established community service. This role focuses on supporting children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), including complex and specialist cases across early years settings, schools, and community environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for paediatric caseloads
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across health and education
• Support early years settings and schools with tailored interventions
• Provide training and coaching to families, carers, and professionals
• Manage complex caseloads effectively
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement

Requirements:
• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy (or equivalent)
• HCPC registration
• RCSLT membership
• Postgraduate dysphagia training (or willingness to complete) – Band 6
• Advanced specialist training / Master’s level or equivalent – Band 7
• Strong post-graduate experience with paediatric caseloads
• Experience supporting children with complex SEN needs
• Proven MDT working and collaboration with education settings
• Ability to use a range of formal and informal assessments
• Experience delivering training and coaching programmes
• (Band 7) Leadership, mentoring, or service development experience
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
