About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Service – Adults Localities to join a dynamic Adult Social Care service based in Colindale, London. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a highly experienced social care professional who can provide strategic and operational leadership across locality-based adult social care teams.

Working on a hybrid basis with two days per week in the office, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading large multidisciplinary teams, managing significant budgets, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met, and driving service improvement through innovation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and be accountable for the management, performance, and development of Adult Social Care locality services.
• Manage and support a large workforce while ensuring the effective delivery of statutory duties.
• Oversee assessment, support planning, and case management services across designated localities.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns and enquiries are managed effectively and in line with statutory procedures and timescales.
• Promote independence and positive outcomes for service users through personalisation and strength-based practice.
• Lead financial planning, budget management, and delivery of savings targets while maintaining high-quality services.
• Work collaboratively with other Heads of Service to identify, manage, and mitigate safeguarding risks.
• Provide professional leadership and embed innovative and evidence-based approaches to practice.
• Ensure resources and interventions are targeted effectively to maximise impact and improve outcomes.
• Develop strong partnerships with health services, housing providers, police, voluntary organisations, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Significant senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care.
• Demonstrable experience managing large teams, complex services, and substantial budgets.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, policy, and best practice.
• Up-to-date CV with no unexplained employment gaps and clearly stated employment dates.
• Right to work in the UK (Passport, Visa, Share Code, etc.).
• National Insurance Number.
• Valid DBS Certificate.
