About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join Camden Council on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality childcare and early education to children aged 0–7 years, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
You will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality integrated care and education in a safe and engaging environment
• Contribute to daily, weekly, and termly curriculum planning tailored to individual children’s needs
• Promote inclusive practice and support anti-discriminatory learning environments
• Carry out observations, assessments, and developmental tracking accurately and consistently
• Support children’s learning, development, and emotional wellbeing
• Assist key workers and support smooth transitions from home to centre and into school
• Manage behaviour in line with policy, including supporting children with additional needs
• Provide personal care including feeding, toileting, changing, comforting, and administering medication where required
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately
• Support the organisation of outings and educational activities
Additional Responsibilities:
• Support children with mobility and self-care development, including manual handling where required
• Assist with basic first aid and respond appropriately to illness or injury
• Liaise with healthcare professionals when necessary (training provided for basic procedures)
Requirements:
• An up-to-date CV
• Right to Work in the UK
• Valid National Insurance Number
• Valid DBS Certificate
