About the Role:
We are proud to partner with Oldham Council to appoint a Director of Growth, a key senior leadership position reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive (Place). You will work collaboratively with Directors and Management Board members to lead the development and delivery of a wide range of growth services—spanning regeneration, development, asset management, and housing growth.

As a strategic leader, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the Oldham Plan and other corporate strategies that align with the Council’s cooperative ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership for regeneration, development, housing growth, and asset management
• Drive and coordinate implementation of the Oldham Plan and corporate strategy
• Work as part of the Management Board to lead elements of the Council’s transformation programme
• Champion cooperative behaviours and values across all service areas
• Deliver effective service outcomes and ensure alignment with the Council’s overarching aims and objectives

Requirements:
• Significant experience in senior leadership within local government or a similar setting
• Proven track record of leading growth, regeneration, or development programmes
• Strong strategic planning and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in delivering transformational change within a complex organisation
• Deep understanding of public sector governance, funding, and housing policies
