💰 Rate/Salary: £25.00 – £35.00 per hour (DOE)

About the Role:
We’re recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for a Development and Acquisitions Officer to help deliver vital affordable housing across the region. This dynamic role involves managing housing development projects, acquisitions, and disposals while supporting estate regeneration and shaping key housing policies. You’ll work closely with a wide network of internal and external partners to improve housing access and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support project management of new build council housing from inception to post-completion
• Assist in the regeneration and redevelopment of council estates
• Acquire properties via Section 106, market purchase, and other suitable routes
• Facilitate the disposal of surplus council assets on the open market
• Contribute to development and delivery of housing strategies and policies
• Support funding bids and ensure developments meet required design and sustainability standards
• Undertake community consultation and financial assessments
• Deputise for the Senior Development and Acquisitions Officer when needed

Requirements:
• Proven experience in housing development, acquisitions, or regeneration
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and project coordination skills
• Willingness to travel within North Northamptonshire
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Proficiency with financial and legal housing frameworks
