About the Role:
Haringey Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Curriculum Manager to lead and manage its ESOL & Wellbeing provision for adult and community learning. This critical role will ensure delivery of a high-quality, responsive, and innovative ESOL curriculum aligned with local needs and funder priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead and manage the ESOL & Wellbeing curriculum team to ensure effective delivery and continuous quality improvement
β’ Design and implement an engaging, responsive ESOL curriculum aligned with council priorities and funding requirements
β’ Oversee planning and preparation for the 2025β2026 programme starting in September
β’ Ensure compliance with all funding and quality assurance standards (GLA, ESFA, EIF)
β’ Support completion of IQA activities and collaborate with the Quality Manager on the Self-Assessment Report (SAR)
β’ Lead recruitment, initial assessment, and enrolment processes for summer and autumn intakes
β’ Drive curriculum innovation that embeds employability, digital skills, core skills, and fundamental values
β’ Identify and address staff training needs and lead relevant CPD initiatives
β’ Ensure the service is Ofsted-ready, with full compliance across quality monitoring systems
β’ Manage curriculum budgets and contribute to income generation strategies
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 9amβ5pm, with one evening duty per week (variable day, until 9pm).
Requirements:
β’ Proven track record of leading and managing ESOL curriculum delivery in adult learning
β’ Strong understanding of AEB-funded provision and funding compliance
β’ Experience in curriculum design and quality assurance, including SAR and QIP
β’ Ability to manage staff, budgets, and data systems effectively
β’ Knowledge of Ofsted and Education Inspection Framework requirements
β’ Experience supporting learner assessment, enrolment, and progression
β’ Creative, strategic thinking with a learner-centred approach
