About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions are recruiting for a Contracts, Commissioning & Placements Officer to join Bury Council’s Children’s Commissioning Team. The role focuses on finding and securing high-quality placements and support services for children and young people in care. You will ensure placements meet the child’s needs and outcomes, are best value, and available when required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and secure appropriate placements and services for children and young people
• Build strong working relationships with professionals across social care, education, health, and care providers
• Ensure referrals are strengths-based to support targeted searches
• Work proactively, flexibly, and under short deadlines where required
• Contribute to high-quality, efficient placement processes within the team

Requirements:
• Experience in a similar role is preferred, but transferable skills and knowledge will be considered
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive approach with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work within deadlines and prioritise effectively
