We’re currently recruiting for passionate and experienced Children’s Social Workers to join our client’s Kinship & Fostering Team in Herefordshire. These permanent opportunities are ideal for dedicated professionals looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and carers.

As a Kinship & Fostering Social Worker, you’ll join a specialist countywide team responsible for assessing Connected/Kinship Foster Carers and potential Special Guardians, as well as providing ongoing support to these individuals. Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner services, your work will enhance placement quality, stability, and support for caregivers, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of Connected/Kinship Foster Carers and potential Special Guardians
• Provide supervision, advice, and support to approved foster carers and guardians
• Prepare analytical and comprehensive assessment reports for Court and Foster Panels within required timescales
• Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to promote placement stability and carer development
• Support compliance with fostering and kinship care regulations and standards
• Contribute to private fostering work and provide post-order support for Special Guardians

Requirements:
• Degree/Diploma in Social Work (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
• Registration with Social Work England
• Substantial experience in Children’s Services, ideally within Kinship or Fostering
• Proven ability to complete complex assessments for Court and Panel purposes
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills
• Must be a car driver
• Sponsorship available for candidates based in the UK with statutory UK experience
• Enhanced DBS required
